The story that
shaped BeautyRaena.
BeautyRaena is a beauty company spanning professional education, products, services and business infrastructure.
Before BeautyRaena became a company, its founder, Ashley A., was rebuilding her own life. After entering the juvenile justice system at fourteen and returning home at seventeen, she began creating a future defined by independence, purpose and possibility.
At nineteen, she founded BeautyRaena. What started as an idea in a notebook grew into years of traveling, building relationships and creating opportunities for women across the United States, Canada and Australia.
Those years shaped more than a business. They revealed what becomes possible when women are given access to education, community and the resources needed to build something of their own.
That experience continues to shape BeautyRaena, its standards and its mission today.
No matter the circumstances or how difficult things became, I wasn’t going to let my past define my future or settle for a life I didn’t want.
At 17, when I returned home, there was only one thing I wanted most: freedom. Freedom to live my life however I pleased, not only for me but for my family as well. And the only person who was going to make that happen was me.
I’ll be forever grateful for my first business experience. Within the same year of establishing BeautyRaena, we experienced rapid growth. We expanded into multiple departments, onboarded multiple teams and reached a level of business I wasn’t even expecting.
In 2021, one year after establishing BeautyRaena, I told my mom to quit her 9–5. I remember telling her, “I can’t guarantee this will be forever, but I’ll try my hardest to keep it that way.” Ever since then, my mom and I have been a team through every stage of BeautyRaena.
Throughout the years, we reached many milestones, and with every new level of success came new challenges. One of the main reasons BeautyRaena still stands today is because of the love and support of my family, team, and community.
Fast forward to 2026, my youngest sister joined BeautyRaena. Watching her follow in our footsteps and build her own independence not only makes me a proud sister, but has also made me realize how even a little knowledge can open someone’s mind to possibilities they may have never known existed.
Looking back at where it all started, my story became proof to others that your starting point does not determine where you’ll end. What started with wanting a better life for me and my family became us creating one together—and in doing so, we changed the course of our family for generations to come.
Where one’s story can impact another.
BeautyRaena Nova was established in 2021, formerly known as the student assistant program. In 2024, the program evolved into BeautyRaena Nova—a new learning approach for our community.
For some, Nova became the reason they continued pursuing lashes. For others, it sparked the next step—building clientele, starting an academy, creating a supply business, or simply seeing more for themselves. And as we returned every few months, we began seeing something even bigger, our community forming relationships with one another that continued long after the events ended.
Today, Nova extends beyond curriculum enhancement. Our events bring artists together to connect, learn from one another, and receive continued guidance as they navigate the next stages of their businesses.
As Nova continues to grow, members of our community also have the opportunity to become part of the program themselves—sharing their experiences, passing along what they’ve learned, and using their own stories to help inspire the next person.
What was once created to continue their education has grown into a community that continues to give back to itself.
